Non-Food Fun for Trick-or-Treaters
Keep the Fun in Halloween - Toss the Empty Calories
While walking down the aisles of the local warehouse club, I noticed a variety of non-food items that would be great to pass out to our local "Trick-or-Treaters" on Halloween. We are all more conscious of the empty calories in candy. As a former school teacher, I know too well how hyperactive school children are for several days after Halloween.
How about starting a new tradition -- treats that are fun, interesting and unusual? Here are some suggestions; undoubtedly you will find more.
small cans of play-doh wax fangs stickers
wax lips party whistles party favors
eyeball gum balls tiny plastic spiders fancy rings
colorful pencils small stencils silly cardboard glasses
hackey sacks glow bracelets punch balls
tiny pinball games mini yo-yo's small card game decks
bouncing balls hand stamps inspirational rubber bracelets
flying disc's tiny bubble bottles colorful plastic drinking straws
funny ears kazoos paddle balls
Kids get so much candy -- that unusual items, such as the ones listed above -- will be appreciated by parents and children!
